This example is based on my original post on Alternative table row styling with CSS and Javascript - but has been improved
using jQuery, which is a Javascript library to make tasks easier.
With jQuery I have managed to replicate my previous post's Javascript in fewer lines and with more user friendly code to
read, view the source of this page to see how the result is achieved
